Funeral Flowers

Funeral Flowers

Losing a loved one is always incredibly difficult. The traditional gesture of sending flowers has existed for thousands of years as an expression of sympathy. It is therefore important that the flower arrangement at the funeral is appropriate.

Sometimes the choice of funeral flowers is obvious for the family because their loved one had a favourite. In other situations, people want to know more about each type of arrangement and see them first hand before making their final decision.

Generally speaking, the most popular flowers for funerals are orchids, lilies, chrysanthemums, carnations and roses. All of these can be presented in various different forms, such as wreaths, baskets, casket sprays or standing sprays.

For open casket services, half-casket sprays are normally used. Garlands or casket inserts are sometimes chosen instead. A casket spray that combines several flowers and greens is usually picked for closed casket funerals.

Beautiful Funeral Flowers

We have many funeral flowers available on top of the aforementioned choices. Oftentimes, people have an idea of what they’re looking for but change their mind once they see an alternative arrangement in real life.

Religion can also play an important role in choosing the right funeral flowers as the traditions vary across different cultures. For example, it is considered inappropriate to have red flowers at a Buddhist funeral.
